Visit us

Welcome to our unique manor preserved as it appeared in the early 1900s. Here, you’ll find buildings and interiors, gardens, and a play area. It’s currently the low season for us – our buildings are closed, but you are welcome to explore the park on your own!

Julita Manor is located by Lake Öljaren, 25 km outside Katrineholm in the Swedish province of Sörmland, approximately 2 hours from Stockholm by train/bus or car.

  • You’re welcome to visit our beautiful park on your own. It’s open for visits year-round.
  • During the autumn and winter, most of Julita Manor is closed. It’s not possible to visit the buildings, there are no guided tours, and the café is closed.
  • We’ll reopen with full activities in May/June. See you then!

By public transport:

  • Train to Eskilstuna or Katrineholm, then bus to the Julita Gård/Julita gård entré bus stop.
  • Plan your journey with SJ and Sörmlandstrafiken.
  • During the low season, the nearest bus stop is Äsköping (approximately 1.5 km from Julita gård).

By car:

  • Find us on Google Maps.
  • There are two parking lots, where you’ll also find two charging stations.
  • You can pay using the AIMO app or Parkster SMS parking.
  • Parking for disabled individuals is available between the entrance building and Julita wärdshus.

Inside Julita Manor

Biby Café

Biby Café serves lunch, sandwiches, and delicious pastries in a historical setting. You can only visit the café if you’ve paid the entrance fee, as it’s located within the premises.

Picnic in the park

Feel free to bring your own picnic and enjoy it at one of our lovely picnic spots in the park! Note that it is prohibited to grill in the area.

Outside Julita Manor

Julita Inn

Whether you have something to celebrate or just want to treat yourself, Julita Inn, operated by the Michelin-starred team from Aira in Stockholm, offers an exclusive tasting menu with local flavors. Book well in advance! You can combine the dinner with an overnight stay at the inn.

Röken Restaurant

At the outdoor seating of Röken Restaurant, you can enjoy a tasty lunch, have a coffee, or grab something to drink.

FAQ for your visit

If you’re in a wheelchair or have a stroller

  • The area has well-maintained gravel paths that are easy to navigate with a wheelchair or pram.
  • Some buildings have level entrances, making it easy to roll in.
  • There are ramps to the café, restaurant, and some buildings.
  • The main house is not accessible.
  • Parking for people with disabilities is available at Julita Wärdshus parking.
  • An accessible toilet is located at the entrance and behind the Skansen Museum in the park.
  • The area is spacious, and it’s approximately 450 meters from the entrance to the mansion building.

  • Adult: 170 SEK
  • Senior/student: 150 SEK
  • Children 3–18 years: 50 SEK. Younger children have free admission.

The entrance ticket includes guided tours of the Main House. If you visit us during the low season self-guided visits to the lower floor of the house are included.

Unfortunately, Pettson and Findus won’t be here, but you’re welcome to visit Pettson och Findus’ farm.

Dogs on a leash are welcome in the park but not inside our buildings.

There’s a parking meter in the large parking area.

No, most of the park’s plants are part of the Nordiska museet’s living collections. Therefore, it’s not allowed to pick plants, seeds, or fruits.

Yes! It is possible to book a spot in the manor park at Julita Manor for a simple wedding ceremony. It costs 4000 SEK excluding VAT. Feel free to contact the museum Nordiska museet with your inquiry.
