Welcome to our unique manor preserved as it appeared in the early 1900s. Here, you’ll find buildings and interiors, gardens, and a play area. We are open during the summer season. The park is open to explore all year round.
Julita Manor is located by Lake Öljaren, 25 km outside Katrineholm in the Swedish province of Sörmland, approximately 2 hours from Stockholm by train/bus or car.

- May 24th–June 8th, we’re open Sat-Sun 10–17.
- June 14th–August 24th, we’re open daily 10–17.
- Open weekends 27th–28th September and 24th–26th October 10–17.
- You’re welcome to visit the park outside regular opening hours. The park is open for visits year-round.
During summer season
- Adult: 170 SEK
- Senior/student: 150 SEK
- Children 3–18 years: 50 SEK. Younger children have free admission.
A guided tour of the Main House is included in the admission ticket, but spaces are limited and subject to availability. Please request a tour ticket when purchasing your admission ticket.
During autumn, winter, spring
You are welcome to visit the park and garden with free admission.

During the summer the café is open Mon–Sun 11–17.
Café and bistro
We offer a wide selection of food and drinks:
- Fika, drinks and sandwiches.
- Lunch 11–15: Neapolitan pizza, traditional Swedish dishes, burgers and vegetarian choices. Children’s menu are also available.
- Ice cream bar in the Greenhouse.
Please keep in mind that you can only visit the café if you’ve paid the entrance fee, as it’s located within the premises.
Picnic in the park
Feel free to bring your own picnic and enjoy it at one of our lovely picnic spots in the park! Note that it is prohibited to grill in the area.
This year, we’re offering two different accommodations in collaboration with Fiskeboda Camping by Lake Hjälmaren. You can stay in the unique Åttkanten right by the lake or in comfortable rooms at the hostel. Be sure to book well in advance of your stay!
Åttkanten
In the unique Åttkanten, you’ll be just a few meters from the beautiful Öljaren, right in the stunning manor environment of Julita Manor. The house can accommodate up to four people, with its own toilet and shower. Access to a shared kitchen in the hostel.
Hostel
At the hostel, we offer several different rooms. All rooms have access to a shared kitchen and shared toilet and shower.
In the shop at Julita Manor, you’ll find inspiration for a sustainable country life. Here, you’ll discover flowers, plants, and flavors from our gardens.
Explore our unique range of products, including everything from kitchenware, interior decor, building preservation, tools, to gardening.
Here at Julita Manor, there are 15 buildings and several beautiful gardens.

By public transport:
- Train to Eskilstuna or Katrineholm, then bus to the Julita Gård/Julita gård entré bus stop.
- Plan your journey with SJ and Sörmlandstrafiken.
- During the low season, the nearest bus stop is Äsköping (approximately 1.5 km from Julita gård).
By car:
- Find us on Google Maps.
- There are two parking lots, where you’ll also find two charging stations.
- You can pay using the AIMO app or Parkster SMS parking.
- Parking for disabled individuals is available close to the entrance building.
Good to know before your visit
If you’re in a wheelchair or have a stroller
- The area has well-maintained gravel paths that are easy to navigate with a wheelchair or pram.
- Some buildings have level entrances, making it easy to roll in.
- There are ramps to the café, restaurant, and some buildings.
- The main house is not accessible.
- Parking for people with disabilities is available.
- An accessible toilet is located at the entrance and behind the Skansen Museum in the park.
- The area is spacious, and it’s approximately 450 meters from the entrance to the mansion building.

Dogs on a leash are welcome in the park but not inside our buildings.
There’s a parking meter in the large parking area.
No, most of the park’s plants are part of the Nordiska museet’s living collections. Therefore, it’s not allowed to pick plants, seeds, or fruits.
Yes! It is possible to book a spot in the manor park at Julita Manor for a simple wedding ceremony. It costs 4000 SEK excluding VAT. Feel free to contact the museum Nordiska museet with your inquiry.
